The original HVF37 is a rectangular piece of nylon with rigid foam inserts that has Velcro position so that you can wrap the hood around 3 - 7 viewfinders to make a viewing tunnel. Many TV sports shooters use the HVF37 to hold a magnifying lens in place for improved viewfinder optics.
